| Mission Statement
We believe worship of the one true God means to ascribe worth
by giving God all that He deserves.
The Psalmist writes:
"Ascribe to the Lord, O mighty ones,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name;
worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness." |
Psalm 29:1-2 NIV
Our goal is that each worshiper would be completely surrendered
to His will and would be daily walking in obedience, so that each
would heed the Spirit's prompting in worship. Ephesians 5:15-20
As individual believers, we believe that God deserves the following
from us, as an expression of worship to Him. Note that giving God
our praise and adoration in the form of music is just one of the many ways
of worshiping Him.
God deserves . . .
- ...the proper and full use of the gifts that He has given each
of us
- We must each seek His will regarding the gifts we've been given
and serve Him, using those specific gifts.
- We must delight ourselves in Him, and desire only what He wants,
and not what we want.
- It is the attitude of our hearts in worship that is most important.
- We must be obedient to serve in the specific ministry to which
God has called us.
- ...our wholehearted service, as those called by God
to ministry.
Words such as diligence, excitement, joy, endurance,
and creativity would do well to describe wholehearted
service.
- ...our loving consideration for others also called in the particular
ministry in which we are involved.
Colossians 3:12-14 NASB "And so, as those who have been chosen
of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility,
gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each
other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave
you, so also should you. And beyond all these things put on love, which
is the perfect bond of unity."
